Resumo:
Strategic planning as a technique peaked in Brazil around 1990 in business, and this positive expectation expanded to public organizations as a panacea for all the ills of this industry. Questioning the excessive optimism, this paper analyzed the strategic decisions of public managers follows the formal strategic planning. This paper is a case study, descriptive andqualitative treatment of data using the technique of content analysis. It was concluded that strategic planning influencesdecision making, as 80% of actions are performed, however, the feeling of managers is still essential.
